Tooth Coloured Fillings

Tooth-Coloured(Composite) fillings:

Composite fillings can be closely matched to the colour of existing teeth and are therefore aesthetically suited for front teeth or more visible parts of the mouth. These composites are usually powdered glass and ceramic added to a resin base. With new materials and technologies, the composite fillings have become more reliable and comparable in strength to amalgams. Some new materials have the ability to bond directly with the tooth and tooth enamel. This means a lesser portion of the tooth has to be drilled away to hold the newer composite fillings. They provide natural looking, stronger and more durable filling than in the past.
